Within the strategies of the European Union for a Global Community of shared values, understanding and cooperation for sustainable development, higher education, culture, arts and sciences are among the best promoted strategic fields. The Programs that the Commission created (Erasmus+, HORIZON 2020, etc.) have been highly successful in expanding partnerships between various institutions across the world to advance these goals and contribute to the internationalization of higher education.

If we are to ensure that our students and graduates have the competences, the knowledge and abilities to successfully integrate in a competitive and global job market, internationalizing education and research is of utmost importance.

For the last eight years UAB has organized the  Exploratory Workshop - Internationalization of Higher Education: Challenges and Rewards, the only Romanian University Conference dedicated to the aim of ensuring institutional ownership of the internationalization strategies developed by HEIs, embed them into the governance of higher education, by involving all the stakeholders (i.e. students, teaching and research staff, administrative staff within the institution, as well as institutional partners and collaborators). Beginning this year, we are determined to take full advantage of the new blended intensive projects that the Erasmus+ Programme offers and explore new opportunities for cooperation to strengthen our expertise in this field.

We aim to offer the academic community, both academic and administrative staff the skills, competences and knowledge for:

Intercultural Communication

Support services for international students;

Internationalization at home: internationalizing curriculum through innovation and research.
