Familiarization of students with the concepts of social development, local
development and community development.

Introduction to the theories of social development. Familiarization of students with the paradigms of social development- Focused on the Functionalist Paradigm –according to Emery, Flora, (2006): the seven broad categories of resources that contribute to the transformation of communities.
O3:
To understand the relationship between the community and its environment and the role of nature and culture as tools for community transformation and adaptation to the effects of various crises.
O4:
To learn to use the advocacy campaign as a tool to influence public decision in order to increase the capacity of communities to adapt to the effects of multiple crises.
O5:
To explore how communities can develop and maintain resilience in the context of foreign investments, addressing both the challenges and opportunities that arise.
